Rough Cut...Complete?!

Word on the street is that the rough cut is essentially done. Here's what producer Marco DiGeorge had to say:

The Misguided, a short film by Chris Seligmiller that I've been producing over the past year, is finally nearing completion. The rough cut is complete, and we are now waiting on the musical score as one of the final steps. I hope to have the film finalized by its one year anniversary (which is approaching fast).

Delays in Post

According to producer Marco DiGeorge, conflicting schedules and business have delayed the edit for the film. A good cut of the film is now expected to be completed in June.

I'll have more updates on the progress of the film as they come in.

Alexander Bornstein Signs On

Composer Alexander Bornstein has signed on to score the film. Producer Marco DiGeorge met with Alex this week to discuss the project, and the meeting was a success.

Post-Production work is still in progress, but word is the edit is looking solid. The film will be screened for test audiences soon to get a feel for the right audience to target come festival time.

Post-Production Updates

A couple of news and notes to pass along:

-According to Producer Marco DiGeorge the film looks like it will be completed in Mid-April.

-Also, production manager Art Smith has informed me that the film has been accepted into the good old Internet Movie Database and should be up sometime within the next month or two. That is extremely, extremely cool, and I'm looking forward to seeing my name on the site (as if my ego didn't need enough padding). :)

Here's the story: Clips from the film were in Hollywood with actress Marnee McClellan who was showing off her skills for some casting folk out there in Tinseltown. Eventually, these clips were "leaked" (kidding of course) on her official website, and now YOU get to see them!

Editing to Commence

I am officially done with my breakdown of the dailies and have shipped them to Producer Marco DiGeorge. There's no official word on when editing will begin, but my prediction has us beginning in the next week or two.

It took me over a month to get through the dailies, due mainly to the craziness at my house in December. But, I got a chance to spend a lot of time with the dailies and I feel very confident about the film. We'll see what happens when we go into editng. More to come...
